How it Works

This tool uses your browser's HTML5 Canvas to compress images locally:

  1. Select a JPG, PNG, or WebP image.
  2. The original image is displayed.
  3. Adjust the **compression level** slider:
    • For **PNG** input: The output is always lossless PNG. The slider position doesn't change the quality.
    • For **JPEG/WebP** input: Moving the slider right increases compression, reducing file size and potentially quality. The lowest setting (1) aims for the highest possible quality.
  4. The image is drawn onto a hidden Canvas and exported based on the input format and slider setting.
  5. Compare the original and compressed versions, then download the result.

Your images are processed entirely within your browser and are never uploaded, ensuring privacy.
